Mental Health Services
It’s hard to be successful when you’re standing on shaky ground. That’s why we provide mental health services to children and families throughout the state. Our mental health services are designed to help each person receive the treatment they need to lead healthy, stable lives.
Ohio MENTOR’s therapists and support staff help children and family members deal with mental health challenges in a safe, supportive environment. Whether dealing with depression, anxiety, bi-polor disorders or a wide range of other mental health challenges, we focus on helping each person understand their illness and develop coping skills that can help them succeed.
Our mental health services and supports include:
- Community psychiatric support treatment (CPST)
- Individual counseling
- Group counseling
- Psychiatric evaluation and services
Our outpatient therapy staff consult with case managers, care coordinators, direct service professionals, physicians and foster parents to continually assess each child and create a comprehensive service plan that best meets their needs. Our Mental Health services can be used as a service on its own or as a part of our Intensive In-Home service or Therapeutic Foster Care.
Behavior Management
Challenging behaviors can often interfere with successful illness management and recovery. That’s why behavior management is an intregal part of our mental health services. Our goal is to help individuals assess and modify behaviors that can have a negative effect on their overall mental health. Using innovative methods,our expert staff:
- conduct comprehensive assessments;
- develop behavior modification strategies;
- and help individuals work towards positive change
